Werewolves, what do you like or dislike about the new features?

why are kids born to 2 pack members (especially the alpha and beta's child) not automatically in the pack? also why isn't there a way to see who is a member of your pack? shouldn't there be a list or something you can actually access somehow? also the hierarchy is really odd since there is no real meaningful way to interact with the pack or manage the members without being directly in front of them. i am really disappointed in the way packs were handled because i really though they would function similar to clubs, and it kinda sucks there isn't really a 'lot' for the pack hang outs, the rabbit hole is fine but i rather had been able to at least place some things near it to actually gather the pack or throw a party there. Also mates aren't preset or randomized your mate is just the person you romantically interact with the most 😒😒😒literally not any different that what we have besides adding some notifications when they interact. there are some nice features i like but alot of what i was looking forward to just was not paid attention to.

  • Everything.

    Shrug.

I was so hyped for this pack, then I saw that they look like Cosplaying Furries. That sort of turned me off, the last straw was when I saw that they can eat pet poop.

I know they thought it was funny to do these things but I don't. I was disgusted by it all and removed all the werewolves from my save. I have a mod in place that turns the world normal, however, it's such a trashed world that I don't even want to play in it.

This GP is my biggest regret. I wish I could get my money back, I don't use anything from it. Again, trashed is not even close to my aesthetic.

BTW, I love supernaturals. They were my favorite life forms in TS3. I adore my little vampires, spellcasters, and merefolks. I just don't like how ridiculous they made the weres.
  • Werewolves traditionally did not have tails. That was supposed to be one way to identify them.

Only in some lore, not all of it. In some traditions, werewolves are pretty much indistinguishable from normal wolves when transformed aside from maybe being bigger than normal or having glowing eyes. It depends on the source.

I'm pretty peeved with how they handled female werewolf body customization and the werewolf aspirations to be honest. Aside from the opening aspiration, all of the werewolf aspirations that actually have to do with staying a werewolf are tied to the devs' factions and OC's...and then the final aspiration is a stinkin' cure quest! I hate that cure nonsense in werewolf media! Why couldn't it have been a quest to master one's werewolf powers instead of that sad-sack cure bunk?!

As for the female werewolf body customization, I've done a lot of digging trying to rectify it, and let me tell you, they went to a lot of trouble to keep players from making werewolves who have proper feminine proportions in their werewolf forms. It's not just tossing in a slider mod and calling it a day. It's in the base models, its in the game code itself...they really went to war on the female body here! It's especially infuriating considering all the smack they're always talking about "inclusivity" and "representation" and "freedom of gender expression" in their marketing...and then they do this to female werewolves? Unacceptable AND hypocritical!

The core werewolf occult gameplay is fine, but...the aspirations and that mess they did to female werewolf bodies has got to go.
  • Overall I like the werewolves pack and I honestly bought it more for the build buy but actually found the werewolves fun. However my sim took the cure and wanted to be rid of the werewolf life. After I leave the game and go back in, she keeps transforming back into a werewolf or partial werewolf. Even after I cheated her no longer a werewolf. She is also a magician and her spells remain but the needs change to werewolf needs.

i def agree with the body thing, the wolf form is extremally limiting with males and females, all the wolves look the same and i really really really hate that, it is sad when my pet is more customizable than the sim i can actually control. why is it even limited in this way when they choose to use an upright humanistic form of werewolves? why not just make them turn to actual wolves if they didn't want us to modify the bodies in a meaningful way.

and yes the aspiration seemed silly when there are ones for vampires and witches to master their powers, yet werewolves don't have that? strange for sure.

honestly im sad this is what we got for werewolves and honestly i think this pack has put the nail in the coffin for me, most likely wont be spending anymore money with EA im looking forward to other games who seem like they actually listen to their people. im really done spending my money where its not appreciated....ive been with sims for 10+ years i have tried to have faith and trust the process.....im done with it all
  • What I like
    - the general look of the werewolves with wolf heads. I like the customisation options, the wolf head, the option to paint the fur, the choice between clothes and no clothes ... Basically I like everything except for the lack of a feminine body frame
    - the aspiration is done well. Overall I still prefer aspirations with different steps over just one step but for the werewolf aspiration the difficulty feels right. You don't fly through the aspiration but need some time and commitment
    - the different perks to unlock. I was actually surprised because I had no idea what could be done with perks. But I like the result
    - moonwood mill has a town has an interesting vibe
    - integration with other packs, especially vampires and spellcasters. I like having a new spellcaster wand
    - finally having a reason for getting a small telescope
    - the possibility of a dormant werewolf through birth is very interesting. Having the werewolf wake up through swimming in lake lunvik at a full moon is awesome

    What I don't like
    - the fact that we only got male bodies. The werewolves in sims 4 obviously have a human posture with human proportions so why do they all have to look male?
    - moonwood Mill should have had one or two additional lots
ics when a werewolf ages. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
    - the messed up UI if you have a hybrid (through glitch or cheat) I know they are not supported but just allowing needs to display and access perks with a self interaction (click on active sim) would have come a long way
    - messed up genet
