What age bracket do you think each life stage represents?

Like obviously babes are newborn to... and elders are ??? to death. What specific bracket?

  • @FurSimsOfficial I understand what gradual aging is. I just don’t know how it would work for my gameplay style.

My current save will have realistic aging. Seasons are 28 days long, so one year is 112 days. If the toddler stage, for example, is 4 years long, when will my Sims move from phase 1 to phase 2? I might know how long I want each life stage to be, but the game doesn’t. (I could turn aging back on and set custom life stage lengths in MCCC, but since I only plan to age up certain Sims, that means I’d have to go and flag everyone to not age, which will take forever.) And if it just changes them after a certain number of days, my Sims will almost definitely end up looking too old too early.

Elder 55+ (I am pleased with how it is now. Good gradual aging, BUT elders need to live a little longer. 55 to 70/80 is a long way to go and longer than most other stages in number calculation. This is also why we would desperately need a good generation pack that gives elders a lot to do, so the life span won't bore us.

I agree with your post until this point. At nearly 50, I don't consider myself almost an elder. Heck, I have trouble thinking of my septuagenarian mother as an elder, and she actually is one. 60-65 makes more sense as a starting age for Elders, to me. And then their life stage doesn't seem too short either.
  • interesting how a lot of people have put teens as starting at 13 or 14... they look way too old to be anything younger than 16 in my opinion

    • Babies - <1
    • Toddlers - 1-6
    • Children - 7-13
    • Teens - 14-19
    • Young Adults - 20-29
    • Adults - 30-49
    • Elders - 50-79

The elders look too young to be over 80, in my opinion.
  • Baby: Birth to 1 Year (and, no, I don't count ages after 11 months in months, because I think it's weird and sounds like you're trying not to acknowledge that your baby's actually growing up)

Toddler: 2 to 4 years (because they're proper preschoolers this time around, as opposed to perpetual 1.5-year-olds like in previous titles)

Child: 5 to 13 years (they're big enough for very early puberty to be setting in toward the end)

Teen: 14 to 17 years (you may laugh at the 14 number, but there are some really tall 14-year-olds out there)

Young Adult: 18 to 39 years (because Adult looks way too old in the face to be under 40 to me)

Adult: 40 to 60 years (like I said, Adult looks too old in the face to be anywhere under 40...especially for Black sims...)

Elder: 60 years onward (because, by 60, you just have to embrace that you're old as dirt now...and have fun with it by screwing with kids by playing pranks on them and then pretending to be senile when they notice what you just did)
