They are all completely separate saves. So Evangeline cannot interact with Lola because they are not in the same universe persay. As for the second part of your post I don't mind the story progression of townies because I rarely play townies unless their backstory interests me. But I do one household every save. So for example, if I want to play the Ito family in Mount Komorebi, I would start a new save file with them, not play them from Kayjae's save. Kayjae's save is for Kayjae only. It's just easy for me to keep track of what each save is and what.they are doing. Also the creative save file names I mentioned before "Opposites Attract" and "Single Sports Nut" will not work if there are multiple played households in these saves.
