What are peoples thoughts on "stealing" In the gallery?

It is lame to take someone's stuff and say it is your own work-however I have seen many take someone's work and improve on it. If I were to see either happen with mine I wouldn't really care. I kind of figure once I upload it it totally belongs to the gallery and people can do as they please. It is nice if people at least note something in their description but *shrug* I got more important things to do then sit around being mad over stuff like that.
