Here is how I see it the problem was fixed with maxis along time ago, there was a small incident where the originator name was removed from the upload and someone uploaded it. So if the non original items get max favorite they will also credit your original creation. You can't really see them see the original marker in all gallery information as it only shows to the owner of the original work.
Edit: If you limit choices to not re-upload your lot than you should not put your lot up there in the first place.
Edit: I forgot the tools to use are considered owned by maxis, so how could you say it was totally your creation?
