You do not own the game, you own the right to play it. You did not buy the game, you bought the code to play the game that belongs to EA/Maxis. So I would say that no you do not own what is in the gallery, but you should give credit where it is due. Kind of like if I am doing a term paper and I quote an author, I put in the information that I quoted from the author or from the article. So I think it is the same thing.
