I can't imagine playing without Seasons. Basic weather should have been in the base game. I would also find playing families really tedious without Parenthood. In terms of fun stuff, I also must have City Living in my game. The festivals alone are a great addition.
It's interesting; I think those are also the first 3 packs I bought after I got the base game. Maybe I should have stopped there! Lol
As for mods, I can't live without BBB (especially now that it will eliminate the shopping cart), Meaningful Stories, Wonderful Whims, Have Some Personality Please, and Whim Overhaul (along with Re-Roll Wants Cheat).

@rosemow I always make it a point to get at least one sim in every household up to level 10 in all three cooking skills. The fresh chef trait is a godsend.
@LennyOgg I've been missing my occults so much over the last two years that I've been doing both of my stories. That's why when I did introduce what at the time was going to be a short lived vampire storyline I went berserk with it. There's more I want to say, but then I'd be giving away spoilers. I will say my readers are going to love what I have in mind.😃

Seasons is a great pack in the game! @PandoraTO 🙂 It adds so much to the daily lives of our sims, with the changes of weather through the day and the different seasons and seasonal activities.
The Parenthood pack is very great for family life.
i like the festivals that came with City Living also.
