I only got Batuu recently during the last sale and haven't tried the gameplay yet, so I can't say anything about that. However, I really love CAS and build/buy. One of my Sims is an engineer with a degree in physics; she's also a huge fan of video games and a total geek, currently builds her first servo. Some of the Batuu build/buy items fit in perfectly at her San Myshuno apartment, and the clothes work really nicely for her as well. She's probably the only Sim who'll ever go to Batuu, and I'm pretty sure she'll have a blast. I'll just treat the whole thing as a theme park experience instead of a legit world that's connected to the rest, so that should work :)
My First Pet is... ok, I guess. I only have that one because EA gave it away for free some time ago. There are a few items I use from that pack, like the scratching poles for cats, or the sofas, but that's about it. If it hadn't been free, I probably still wouldn't have it because frankly, it feels like a DLC to a DLC and that always rubbed me the wrong way.
