Hopefully, I’ll be able to make a magic shop in “Mooncrest” that sells potions, wands, and crystals. I’ve imagined this for a while, but never set it up. Now I have motivation to do it. The little old man who runs it will be my crystal crafter.
I'm eventually going to do something like this. Maybe also add the serums from GTW.- alanmichael12 years agoSeasoned AceWhere's the pack???
EDIT: Aaah, it's available. - atreya332 years agoLegendI won't get this pack right now. I will wait to install the shopping cart until I really want something new in the game. When I get it at some point in the future, I will use this pack for my supersim to complete the aspiration. Not sure how much jewellery I will make afterwards. Some of the charged effects sound very useful. So maybe a jewellery store?
- AncientMuse22 years agoSeasoned AceMy plan for this pack....
Is to hold off on buying this pack (and any other packs) until after Electronic Arts releases their 4th (and final) quarterly report on March 31, 2024 (which is also their fiscal year end).
After March 31st, I'll reassess the situation and decide whether or not I want to open my wallet once again. My hope is that between now and then, EA will have come up with a well-thought out 'shopping cart' compromise we can all feel happy about.
On a more positive note:
I really love the look and feel of this pack, the gameplay aspects, the BB and CAS, and the overall 'dark academy-esque' theme.... so it's definitely going onto my wishlist as a future must-have. I own all packs with the exception of two kits (just simply because they don't interest me). I'm not a 'completionist' per se, but I've yet to meet an EP/GP/SP that I don't like and don't want in my game. :D - My plans are to have my married couple both level up they're skills on jewelry making. I also have plans for my sims to give jewelry away as friendly gifts for Christmas aka Winterfest.
- GrumpyGlowfish2 years agoSeasoned AceSophia Leigh is a villain from Tomb Raider III, a woman born presumably in the 18th or 19th century who uses the power of a mysterious artefact, the Eye of Isis, to obtain everlasting beauty and immortality. I recently made her in CAS to honour the remaster of Tomb Raider III that recently came out. Then I learned about the Crystal Creations SP and figured she would be a perfect sim to use its features.

(I gave her a different hairstyle on purpose because the original one makes her look older, which is exactly what she's trying to avoid...)
I can't wait for her to craft the Eye of Isis in her penthouse on top of a skyscraper, reflecting her office building in Tomb Raider III. I have yet to decide whether this penthouse will be in the noble district of San Myshuno or the UBrite district of Britechester, as the former has higher buildings, but the latter looks more like London, where Sophia lives in the source material. I'll probably go with the latter, since I plan on having her study there as well. - MirkaKaroliina2 years agoNew SpectatorSooo I've just reached the 25th generation in my game and it's been my goal all along to complete all collections. So far I've completed like 16 I think but I haven't been able to complete the crystal collection because there is one (!!) rare crystal that I still haven't found  So, I guess this is my chance to finally hopefully find that missing one.

Wow, that's a huge achievement in itself! Well done. - crocobaura2 years agoLegendI haven't bought the pack yet and not sure yet if any of this is possible, but I'd love to create a retail jewelry shop and have my sim ladies buy jewelry or receive it as present. Some huge rocks bling under the winterfest tree would be lovely and retail system is the only reliable way to source them.
- lanlynk2 years agoLegendI plan to get the pack after a few more days. Waiting to make sure there aren't any surprise bugs. So far, I haven't heard of any proven to be connected with the new pack. For game play, I have a Victorian community I placed in a save not too long ago. They all live in Magnolia Promenade. In my played family there, 2 have archeology/collecting aspirations, so I'll give my 3rd sim the new gemology aspiration. I'll probably convert an extra bedroom into a workroom for all of them. ?
Right now, my game is running fine. Most of my mods have been updated. At first, I had a UI glitch caused by Better BuildBuy because of the new shopping button, but that mod has been updated.
Edited to add: As far as the cart button, I never saw it at all, but I own most of the packs anyway. AND the new update of Tmex's Better BuildBuy removed it from the UI. ?
