Ranking them all in three ways feels like a day's job, but here we go... I value gameplay really high in packs and CAS and BB are secondary to me. I didn't really think of the world much with this, unless there was some gameplay tied to it.
Gameplay:
- Life and Death - Fleshes out ghosts, that's a major benefit. Bucket list and soul's journey are really nice content. I love the option of finally having funerals. It even has festivals.
- Get Famous - The fame gameplay is just super strong. I love the fame system, perks and quirks. There are so many ways your sim can get famous. The acting career is also nice.
- Businesses and Hobbies - There are so many things you can make with this pack. It takes the GeT club system and GTW retails system and makes a stellar mash-up.
- Growing Together - Comes with a bunch of little things like self-discovery and midlife crisis (those are my favourites). Infant gameplay is actually cute. New child aspirations were so needed!
- Seasons - Kind of hard to rank because while seasons are essential, I don't use the season related gameplay that much anymore? It's good to have though! I also turned off the thunderstorms and blizzards because I felt they were too frequent.
- Get Together - The club system is iconic and I've played so much with it. I admit I use it less these days. Also sad that the wild parties seem broken since Seasons. Still a very good pack.
- Cottage Living - Chickens are my favourite thing ever. Cows and llamas are also good. Simple living lot trait is the best if you want some challenge. Growing crops is fun.
- City Living - The festivals are still really good and I like to go from time to time. The apartment gameplay works and gives a different kind of experience.
- Snowy Escape - I don't like these festivals as much, but what I like is the mountain exploration. Maybe not many sims will do it, but it's such a cool opportunity. Winter sports are a bit repetitive, but okay. Lifestyles have some issues (every sim is a people person???) but I still like that they add a bit extra.
- Island Living - Water related activities are fun, cleaning the beach not so much. It makes decent effort at creating a different atmosphere in Sulani (festivals, neighbours bringing in food). I wish mermaids were more fleshed out.
- Highschool Years - Okay so I am someone who actually likes going to school, prom and career days with their teens (not everyday, but once or twice a week). I like the bubble tea lot thingy. The problem for me is that every teen in my rotation goes to same school.
- Horse Ranch - Although I totally love horses, the gameplay itself is kinda repetitive (the barrels and jumps, competitions). I also don't like the minigoats and lambs. Wine making is good and did I say horses?
- Lovestruck - This has cool little things to enhance love between couples, but feels kind of thin. I like the added systems anyway.
- For Rent - I'm not interested in landlord gameplay, it just doesn't seem fun. However I do like the opportunity to have many households living on the same lot. It can be used for many things.
- Get to Work - Aliens could be so much better. I like playing the careers sometimes, they're not that bad. Retail system is useful, even now with B&H.
- Cats & Dogs - I hate the focus on pet sickness. I have never played a vet clinic. Dog walks are horrible in big neighbourhoods. I do like the option to have cats and dogs still.
- Discover University - I dislike the uni gameplay. It's stressful, not very fun and it doesn't work well for rotational play. I like the setup of two unis, but I rarely play it. Servos are love.
- Eco Lifestyle - Many of the NAPs are so bad that I can't even use the packs main gameplay which is voting for the NAPs. I do use a few of them and I like the community space you can vote on.
Maybe I'll add CAS & BB ranks later.
