What causes walls to disappear in live mode even when full walls are selected?

I traveled there with a group of 6 sims. I don’t recall having these issues until recently. Like a recent update may have changed something or maybe I just haven’t had the right lot installed to cause it to show up. That lot has a lot of details and when I position the camera by the stage and turn it to face back towards the entrance it’s a crazy amount of detail.

I’m still a bit puzzled by how changing the lot type solved the problem. Once I set it to generic everything shows no matter what I do with the camera. This game can be so odd at times.
