- something like ever quest
- Mostly just witches, and I'm going off the 3 hints they gave at EA Play, if it is magicians..and not witches, their will be an uproar by a lot of the community members.
- LiELF6 years agoLegendI think it's not called "Witches" because it's more than just Witches. I do think they're included, but we will be able to make a variety of Spellcasters, or just freeform create what we want. I think the CAS will have new wizardly beards and robes, Voodoo style, Druidic and Shamanistic, etc. as well as maybe a couple of "witchy" styles. I think the magic will be more expansive and we'll be able to choose the types of magic that they cast. So I'm thinking it might be similar to Vampires in selections and how it plays.
As for the world...I'm really not sure what to expect. There will probably be a small, mystical map with a few strange lots. I'm hoping that this world will have magical things going on in the environment at all times, like it's alive with magic. It would be fun if it had "portals" set up like in Jungle Adventures, but when your Sim walks into them, they end up somewhere across the map to a new strange place. - Since they put "realm" into the title I expect a new world about the size of Forgotten Hollow. Maybe an aspiration that lets sims unlock magic powers while experiencing a short storyline in that world.
Also the use of "magic", not "witches", gives me hope for something more versatile, a generic magic user base that we can customize into our own traditions.
I think we will be able to create supernatural sims in CAS and I also think it would be neat if they differentiated between sims born with a gift for magic and those initiated into it as a science. Something like sorcerers and wizards and Dungeons & Dragons 3rd edition (didn't play 4th or 5th, so I don't know if they kept that). For example anybody can get initiated and learn the magic skill, but there is also a trait for natural mages that gives them a few inborn powers regardless of whether they decide to train in magic or not. - AquaGamer12126 years agoSeasoned AceWitches and Fairies. Other than that idk ?? They could go the Harry Potter route, they could do something completely different. I didn’t play the past games so I don’t know.
- LatinaBunny6 years agoSeasoned AceIn terms of first instinct, just hearing the term, I think of witches, wizards/mages/sorcerers, dragons and fairies, etc. When I hear the world realm, I think of a more fantasy-theme.
- Honestly when I hear the title my brain hops to Elves/Fairies. Since it's the Sims I'm thinking Witches and maybe some Fey life state.
- wildirishbanshee6 years agoSeasoned AceMy first thought was...MAGIC TOWN! Overall, I'm just excited to have magic in my game again!
- nikkiheathcote956 years agoSeasoned AceA magical hidden world, possibly similar to magic town in making magic :-)
- Honestly the more I think about the more realm of magic makes me think of fae folk. Like fairy rings and all that. I mean we've had the Sylvan Glade since base game that had that weird circle of mushrooms so maybe it'll be more fairy esque magic than witches?
I would really rather witches but we shall wait and see.
