In my game today I took my sim to the top of the lighthouse and went to look around. I was looking at the museum and I kinda don't like it and now want to do something with it. Rather it be just updateing its current look or changing the lot type I'm just not sure. So here I am taking to the forum and asking for some ideas, thoughts, and what you have done to this lot.

@AphoticLee Very nice. I always put a restaurant there but this seems more in keeping with the area.

I have a sim living on this lot, I made it a home :D

I put a windmill there for my weather witch and her four elemental cat familiars to live in.The museum still exists as well, I decided against bulldozing it because it ties in so nicely with the history and culture of Brindleton Bay, but I didn't want the most useless public lot type to take up the only buildable space on the island, so I moved it to the wharf area.

I did not make any changes to the museum, but if we ever get hotels, I will turn it into a hotel, perhaps still with a small museum on ground floor.

I put a cafe there, and made it both a dog and cat hangout, or whatever the lot traits are called. I send my Friend of the Animals sim with his author husband so one can write while the other makes friends with the strays.
I downloaded the cafe, which I can't remember at the moment, but it was made for that lot and it's the best cafe I've downloaded.

I put a church with a graveyard with a parsonage attached to it. The church is a wedding venue for the religious ceremony and the parsonage serves for the party after.

Usually I forget about its existence, but my last save I ended up turning it into an abandoned asylum where my sim lived. I remember naming it something similar to Alcatraz and I put the private lot trait on it. It had a very nice atmosphere to it and I really wished I saved it, but unfortunately I'm a dummy that trusts that my saves won't corrupt.

I love the variety of ideas. I do wish we had a hotel system bcuz this would definitely be perfect for that.

@AphoticLee, your Bed & Breakfast is beautiful. That would be the perfect place to take Sims on their honeymoon or a romantic weekend.

In my game, I built a country-themed wedding venue. The ceremony is in the barn and the reception area is outside on a patio/gazebo.

I turned it into an abandoned museum. If we ever get cemetaries, I'm turning it into a haunted graveyard. I've got a dark story swirling in my mind about dead sailors and their beloved pets
