- I have quite a few real life celebrities and fictional TV characters in my game as background sims. My main family is just a regular family I started in CAS with mom and dad as single sims who hooked up. They're not really based on anyone. Just my imagination.
- cyncie3 years agoSeasoned AceRight now, I’m playing a rotation of sims, with premade occults and a few original characters the main story drivers. I never play any version of myself. I do have some fictional characters in my game, but no real life celebrities. In past games, the sims I played were all original characters.
- A mix of characters from other videogames, premade sims and my own sims. My main sims are a detective and a teacher, both of which at some point were childhood dreamjobs of mine.
- EgonVM3 years agoSeasoned AceI rotate between households, all original (mostly).
I had a plan to make a sim of myself before The Sims 4 came out, but eventually, I decided not to. - Chicklet453683 years agoSeasoned AceDefinitely not myself, I have no interest in that. I actually live my life in RL, I don't need or want to recreate that in a video game.
I play with many, many human characters 95% in several saves, that aren't created to represent anybody I know or anybody who is famous, they are just sims I D/L'd or created myself that I liked the look of.
The other 5% of my characters are somewhat occult-ish, but still very much look like a human you'd see in RL unless they are doing their occulty things and have a dark form of some kind. - maxis households
recreated ts1-2 and urbz sims
mostly anyway
I also have simself for testing/small adventures and profile pic obviously
and few self created occults or unimportant npc where i feel like there is no maxis sim for what I need say some aliens or other
but i try to find most my sims in pool of premades cause its kinda fun to see where they fit in - Sharooonia3 years agoSeasoned AceI play with all the premades, plus a few sims I created that are nothing like myself.
- wildirishbanshee3 years agoSeasoned AceI vaguely remember creating a simself in Sims 2 for some challenge or another, but otherwise, I play with completely made up sims. Occasionally, I may use fictional characters, like Brianna and her husband from Outlander, because I'm curious - but generally no real people, ever in my game.
- Aaleyn3 years agoSeasoned AceI play many premades (and I also usually make them "my own versions" because I often change their lives in different ways and for some of them I also change their names).
Often I also find nice sims among the random generated townies or NPC sims, and I start playing some of them too. For example the sim in my current profile picture is one of those random townies/NPC, that became one of my favorite sims ?
I also play my own created sims, but I never play as myself or anyone I know IRL; My own created sims are characters that I'm creating just using my imagination.
I play also sims that I have downloaded from the Gallery.
Sometimes I give to my played sims names from celebrities or fictional characters (from movies, TV-series or books) but usually it's only the name and otherwise they don't look like the person  - I play as a few different Sims (rotational style I guess). My starting point will usually be the name I choose, and that's often randomly generated anyway. I have been gradually building families around the Sims I first started. It's good to see wobbly toddlers eventually grow up into gangly, awkward teenagers.
