I'd welcome a higher frequency :) In my game I might have had one unexpected death, a sim dying from laughter. It fittet my plan hat he died, so I allowed it to happen, but I recall it as an unexpected event. I hardly had a fireplace accident. Maybe 10 fires over 10 years of playing a lot of hours and sims. I think more deaths would be fine with the last will or no will situation, and it would be nice for story telling if not only elders die. But I'd appreciate it not to happen to NPCs, but only a higher rate of chances in the actively played household.
