Yeah, updated to a solid B now. Still not happy about all the cellphone use (they use this soo much, even with the noble ventures) but answering royal mail added writing skill (instead of having to use a computer to gain this skill). So it is like they might lean/add eventual non-computer writing items? Anyways I thought that was a nice touch on the devs' part.
Dynasties are better than I thought (I honestly thought I'd feel the need to skip this feature, now I don't want to play without it), but still could be improved upon both in added Ideals and refining it's autonomy, as well as adding more perks (most options do not appeal to my gameplay).
Noble career is as good as I thought it be (lock at desired career level, customize titles (though I am 1 letter off of having "Queen of the Damned" for my noble vampires, that was sad)), but since it is not Medieval based it isn't wow'ing me either. Noble decrees need more selection.

After playing with this EP for a while, I still give it a B score.
The positive
- love the theme and am having a blast with it so far. It brings some fantasy element to the game (the royalty doesn't exactly come off a realistic modern royalty).
- Nobility career: perfect for my game. I wish titles were separated from the career
- Freedom to set noble titles. I think I will have an emperor as well
- Finally swordfighting. Together with the bow and arrow from adventure awaits, this can be used as activities in a medieval castle.
So why not an A?
- To many objects that are just slight edits of previous content.
- the dynasty values should have let us set positive and negative values separately. I won't be using the majority of them because of all the things I have to avoid.
- Dembele should have been it's own world. The two European regions feel like they compliment each other. But the African world deserved a full word with more lots and a king/queen separate from the Verdemar and Bellacorde king or Queen

I now rate it an A. I totally love the historical world with historical apartments. I love the most beautiful gowns that are so better than Sims 4 Tartosa(formally Wedding). I love that we finally got more tiara/crowns & not depend on only the prom crown & the golden Fairy reef tiara. I'm also a bit obsessed by that very beautiful My Fairy Lady Hat. Now with the new gameplay, I have to say it kind of gives me a Civilization V vibe. I've always wanted my Sims game to combine with my Civilization game & this totally comes close. However, I did turn off Scandals, in the game.

Weak... very weak.

After seeing the first gameplay trailer I would say it falls into category B. The trailers look promising. For it to reach category A I would have to see actual footage of people playing or play it myself. New systems in the sims 4 are tricky to get them right. But if this actually works, I think it will be fun to play. I loved sims medieval and this looks like a modern variation on it with some historical references.

I would say what I saw so far, the Royalty & Legacy Pack is very Good with a B+.😘 I totally love the fairytales to the dancing Queen.👸💃 Also, the Royalty outfits are great as well as the beautiful world.🏰🕌🏟️

Between B and C, just cause they decided it would be "modern royalty" instead of medieval or multi-era. Before I heard this was going to be modern era, I would have been a B to possibly A. Cellphones being used in this EP has me deflated over this EP. Not going era was disappointing. But the pirates, sword fighting, and some fantasy is keeping me interested enough in a cautiously optimistic way to still consider pre-ordering.

At the moment it is around B+. I don't expect all features to match my game perfectly, as I play about 30 Houses of aristocracy that for the most will equal to the dynasty concept, but I love some of the features and especially the visuals including world, BB and CAS. I feel I don't know a lot yet, though.
EDIT: After Jan 22nd nobility video I need to adjust my grade from B+ to A- ;)

I am optimistic about the new pack. I think it's as far as sims can go towards royalty without going medieval. (I would have preferred a more historical approach but even in the reveal trailer we saw the mobile phone dominating a story line)
I like the costumes, the world, the swordfighting, the idea of nobility and family trees.
I am concerned about new systems (dinasty, nobility and scandals) added to the game. We have so many systems over different packs. Balancing them and giving an opt out is crucial.
I will wait for the gameplay trailer before answering it on your scale from A to E but I think it will be the upper half.
