That's what I thought I recalled you having said in other threads...it's just very weird to me that you haven't seen autonomous flirting then.
I use a mod which stops my played sims from flirting outside of their relationships autonomously, but sims that are not marked as played as well as played sims that aren't in a relationship are fair game and it happens ALL the time in my game for them.
I had firefighters show up to put out a fire, for example, that showed up in a flirty mood and were going around flirting with every other sim on the lot...instead of putting out the fire...:lol:
