Nice ideas everyone.
What I would want to see.
First off I want the play menu to return. Kids could play cops and robbers, tag, marry mack (pat-a cake), ect adults could play red hands, rock paper scissors, pillow fights catch. It allows kids to act like kids, and gives adults a way to play with their kids.
Second I want to see more family interactions.
Bring back snuggle (the one between adults and kid)
family kiss(kids and older can do it to each other and to toddlers)
Console (rare sims 2 interaction you could perform when a child was crying)
Sims 3 style read to sleep
tickle (can tickle toddlers and older)
Noogie (Teens can perform it on other teens or children)
sibling fights. (Maybe like the rough house animation from the sims medieval)
Third I want sims to be more unique from each other
sims have interests again and that affects conversations
Sims with certain personalities get more fun from certain objects and use them more, and may not gain fun from other objects (e.g. serious, artistic, bookworm sim would not gain fun from playing computer games).
fourth improve romance
Make chemistry more important for romance. Sims with bad chemistry more likely to reject romantic socials even if they have a high relationship. (Can lead to one way relationships where one person finds the other attractive and has a crush, while the other doesn't find you attractive)
Bring back certain romantic interactions like the goose, and don't force the player to repeat low level interactions in order to get to the higher interaction. In fact, have all the interactions there from the start, and the other sim accepts it or rejects it based on chemistry and/or relationships points. This adds more risk to the game.
Also make dates (sims 2 style) in the base game, or in the nightlife like expansion pack.
Fifth Improve relationships
When a sim fails a social interaction with another sim, make the relationship drop based on the interaction. For example, if you failed at playing red hands with someone your relationship might only drop a few points (may 5 STR and LTR). However, if you fail at a kiss, your relationship drops significantly (15-25 STR/LTR) and your sim is temporarily embarrassed (interactions with the other sim more likely to fail for a limited time).
sixth add more mischief and mean interactions. (Evil sims should be evil)
Keep poke, shove, slap, scare, fight, annoy/irritate, argue, nag, lecture, gross out from the sims 2/3 but allow parents to do some of these interactions with their kids. (For example a parent could scare, irritate, argue, ect with their kids, but they couldn't fight, slap, shove, ect (for obvious reasons).
Also Allow kids to tease toddlers, or steal a bottle or toy from them. (And get in trouble if caught. Parent has to be in the same room, but you can cancel the interaction).
In fact, give the player the ability to have parents punish children whenever.
Seventh: Add a layer of complexity and smarts to the sims
If you cheat on your wife, and your wife's sister or best friend sees you do this, they will walk up to the wife and tell her you cheated. Then the wife and any kids you have will have MASSIVE drops in relationships. You wife will hate you slapping you, and fighting with you. Your children and teens will also dislike you arguing with you and yelling at you. They will also run to their room and cry the first time they hear the news or see you cheat (and you could have a sim try to console them.)

Give back some of the mischievous behaviors toddlers could perform
toddlers can play in toilets
Toddlers can steal bottles from each other (automatically depending on traits or user controlled)
Toddlers may sneak out of cribs (if they learned to walk)
allow toddlers to talk/babel to each other (if they learned to talk)
toddlers could play with blocks together
toddlers can draw/finger-paint together
toddlers can hug each other
maybe play marry mack (but they don't talk as much)
