What I'd like to see is:
- Greetings/farewells based on personalities, relationship levels (like both TS1&2), and social groups (like what TS2 had in Apartment Life)
- Personalities that mean something (for example: a good Sim and an Evil Sim should naturally not be able to get along very easily as they do in TS3)
- Certain places not being rabbit holes (restaurants for example)
- "Real" dating and vacations like TS1&2 had. Of course that would mean the addition of "sudhoods" but I really don't mind those in this case.
- Keep the ability to customize one's sims down to his/her socks/nylons
- Seperate PJ's from Undies
- Retain the "Open Neighborhood"
- More "expressive" faces like TS2 had
- More "orthodox" male hairstyles (especially if male Sims are going to have military careers) to go along with the "unorthodox" ones.
- Separate like/dislike and attracted/repulsed bars (because, let's face it, we've all liked someone that we're not attracted to and have been attracted to someone that we don't like)
- Bring back the Turn ons/Turn offs
- Return the "cut scenes" for memorable moments (birth, woo hoo, etc)
- Add the ability to be in various states of undress with out having to do a complete outfit change (having a Sim kick off their shoes without taking up an outfit slot of being shoeless and what not)
- Have the ability to discover rocks, metals, gems, seeds, insects and whatever else not go away.
- Return the need for shrubbery to be maintained
That's all that I can think of now.
I really miss the turn-ons and turn-offs and separate undies and pjs. I'm not too interested in cut scenes, they got boring pretty quick in Sims2. I would like the shrubbery to need to be maintained as well.
Your like/dislike and attraction/repulsion idea is genius. That would make relationships so much more realistic.
Various stages of undress is a great idea too. This should also be recognized by other sims. For example if a sim is in public with no shoes on other sims will look at their bare feet and so on.
I also agree with weather, pets, swimable oceans and lakes in the base game. I hate waiting for that.
I have thought of other things:
- Variable personalities. In other words if your Sim has the Neat trait you can determine "how" neat he or she is with a "1" meaning that the obvious chores will be done and a "10" border lining OCD. With the variable personalities have a pool of points to work with.
- Hair that actually moves like it did in TS2!
- Combining the "wants/fears" with "wishes/promises" where not only can you promise to do something that they want but promise to keep something bad from happening ( and have a consequence associated with it).
- Along with "moodlets" add memories that have long term good/ill effects.
- Have the time it takes to perform tasks actually make sense. I meant it doesn't take an hour to brush ones teeth or make coffee!
- "Default" greetings/farewells based on "established boundaries". For example, if your Sim is good friends with another Sim then the established boundary should be a hug to greeting or farewell. However, you can have your sim still push the boundary and try to go in for a kiss to see if the other Sim will allow it (like what we have now).
- To piggy-back off of my like/dislike attracted/repulsed one could do a casual Woo Hoo without being in love but rather "in lust".
- Body types that make a little more sense. If your Sim is fat, then he/she won't have six pack abs or any other type of muscle definition. Yes, muscle size would increase but not definition.
