What does a Ranch hand do?

@Llandros2012 I got tired of my bin getting kicked over so build a fence with a gate, allowing only the household with the lock options. Perhaps you can fence off your grill area only allowing your household to use the gate to it ;)

My ranch hand is great. He's doing everything and he's very helpful. The only thing that I could be annoyed about is that he tends to rummage the trash cans, because he has a slob trait, but then he actually also throws the trash piles away, so it's more funny than annoying.
He loves to spend time with all the animals, watering plants and cleaning. The only thing I don't want him to do is repairing things, because I want my Sim to gain handiness skill herself.
I was also surprised he was quite a handsome ranch hand. My Sim has flirted with him a lot and I'm thinking of making them a couple. ;)

Thank you! I had no idea it was the NAP that was causing it. You can't sell those things so I have my sims drink them all to get rid of them - it is extremely annoying!

That is so funny that you said that because I just rage-built a pen for both the grill and the trash can for the exact same reason. I'm hopeful that it will be effective!

The first Ranch Hand I got was awesome. A better butler than the butler. I started another house that needed one and I can't even find the ranch hand most of the time. Try locking the Ranch Hand out of the house so he stays in the yard/stable area. If they're still not working, just fire and rehire

Hahahahaha :D :D :D I am loving how you say rage-built, that is exactly how I felt when I build a fence around my bin that was constantly being kicked over by every sim that ever walked passed my sim's house :D :D :D never had a word for my feeling then, but rage-build is perfect ;)

Or you could remove the stereo. I had to remove my bar, back in Sims3, I think it was, because the Nanny was prone to tippling. :open_mouth:

I had a female ranch hand, and she was great. But then she started showing up at the door after-hours to play on the computer. Then she quit coming to work. I decided to try LittleMsSam's Live in Services mod. So far, it's working great. Fingers crossed! ?

Julian Laws showed up when hired. I took him into CAS and gave him new outfits, but he wears his ranch hand "uniform" for work. I also gave him different traits suitable for the job: Rancher, Loves Horses, and Animal Enthusiast. He already had good skills. After his 8-hr shift, he mostly reads and hangs out with the animals, but my sims socialize with him too.

Julian doesn't use a household slot. He takes care of his own needs. But I did lock is fun and social needs, assuming he enjoys his work with the animals and socializes with them. ?

He cleans up, tends the garden, and looks after the animals.

My ranch hand repaired the toilet without being asked. I had directed my sim to repair it, but he said he couldn't. Then Julian showed. Ah hah!
