What does "dazed" actually mean? (contains spoilers)

A Sim can come back 'dazed' after an alien abduction. I don't see dazed as a good thing, at all. I have become 'dazed' myself under medication. Had pneumonia once and the doctor had me on about five different medications. I called a friend to tell her I wasn't coming to Writer's Group and she totally laughed at me over the phone, saying I was so plumb drunk. No, I was just medicated. LOL One cannot possibly function well when dazed.
