- I just recently played the game on very high, for every graphic option and it runs well so far! I’ve been playing on medium before then. I wanted to test it out and I was surprised that it worked.

- I go back and forth from custom to ultra. I like custom because I dont like post processing too much.
Love my gaming laptop. Never going the desktop route :-) - I used to have a crummy computer, had to play on the lowest graphics possible. For Christmas 2017, however, I got a new computer that could run games on higher graphics. Once my new computer was set up, I booted up the game, switched the graphics to the highest setting, and I have never gone back since.
- I usually play on custom. I hate reflections on, but besides that everything else is High/Ultra. Some settings there is no graphic difference, but gives a few extra framerates so I keep them usually on high.

Hi everyone.
Out of curiosity, what graphics do you play on?
Mine are mostly very high, high and I think 1 medium. - I play on lower settings. Not all the way down, but the only thing that's pretty high is the sims detail. My comp is from 2011 so it struggles a tiny bit. I upgraded the RAM and that helped. But my graphics card is pretty out of date. TBH I'm surprised my comp runs this game as well as it does. Probably because it's a Dell and top of the line when it came out in 2011. I bought it used in 2015.
I think EA was more concerned with making this game easy to play on older units too. When I first bought the Sims 3 my comp couldn't run it. I had to wait almost 3 years before I could play it. I bet they were getting lots of complaints back then about the requirements needed to play The Sims 3. I doubt they wanted to make that mistake again. - MrGiggleTickle7 years agoSeasoned NewcomerI play ultra, mainly because my computer is built for more....demanding AAA games on Ultra. So Sims 4 on Ultra for my GTX 1080 and Ryzen 7 1800X doesn't put a strain on this machine. Can't say the same thing for Sims 3 though! Runs better than my old PC but Sims 3 still just runs like dog poo no matter what you play it on.
- Ultra, I have an 8gb ram desktop
