I don't usually wind up with soap opera scenarios but...Yesterday, I opened up a save game and got a notification of birth from MCCC. Wait, what? I don't remember that.
In this particular save I had started a household with 3 sims, a male and two females (I ended up adopting a made over townie is how I ended up with the second girl sim). Anyway, I was playing to see who liked who best and was busy encouraging a romance between the adopted townie girl and a lad from another household but the other girl hit it off with that boy sim even better and after a whirlwind romance, they married and moved into their own house.
Back to the first girl and the boy roommate. I had just opened the game when the birth notification popped up. Turns out, the adopted townie girl had gone and fallen in love with Gunther Munch, she never let on, the sly minx. Plus, she was pregnant. I had been trying to get her to notice the boy roommate and build up their romance bar when I discovered all this.
The adopted girl roommate is the one who had begun a romance with the now husband of the former girl roommate AND the current boy roommate AND had full bars with Gunther Munch, AND was preggers. I had to check to see if she was a serial romancer, she wasn't. lol
Back to the birth notification, it was triplets! 0.0 Wow, she and Gunther were super compatible, apparently. lolol
I quickly switched to her household and thought what the heck, she and the boy roommate are already living together and starting a romance, I'm going to continue it, Sorry G.
I'm playing, the romance is growing, the husband of the former roommate drops by and is feeling flirty (oh, come on, really?) lol I had her ask to just be friends with him and all was good. Then, Gunther drops by to visit the babies who are now children because one of the babies was super annoying as a baby and as a toddler and setting the others off too. My eye began to twitch. Birthday cake for everyone! That's that!
I thought girl sim was being covert about flirting with the boy roommate a little bit but Gunther came outside to where they were and he cried. Aww, I can't do it, I thought, I can't have her dump Gunther, he's too sweet. I smoothed things over between them and had them go on a date and elope.
She friend-zoned the boy roommate and the friend's hubby (who'd managed to get the romance bar active again when she was flirting with the roommate. None of the players in this drama are serial romancers). lol
I went back and retweaked the settings in MCCC lowering the autonomous relationships and pregnancy rates (I don't know what I'm doing with it, why are the settings so complicated?)
