Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wa...
DaniRose2143 Nice to see that Tartosa is becoming a busy little town in your game. Since I play with long life and have the 'accidental deaths' turned off for the original 'In world Sims', it takes awhile for them to die of old age although most of the original elders have passed away unless they are vampires or something. Instead of adding new Sims except to Newcrest, I just replace the regular Sims' homes with ones from the gallery as I need to so that they accommodate babies & infants better or if they need a barn for any horses that may get adopted. For the in-world sims who live in the city or on lots that are small, I try to turn off the 'adopt a horse' part if the lot doesn't have room for one. Although, I do have many game generated Sims who have moved into small lots and have adopted horses so for them I've had to find small ranch lot builds in the gallery have a small barn for a horse.
I should probably start replacing more of the apartments in San Myshuno since many of the original Sims there have moved out except for the ones that canceled that action on after replacing their apartments with family-friendly ones. Forgot to do that with the Bheeda family though and they now live in Strangerville. I always replace the Bheeda's original apartment with the remake rooms I did for it that accommodates a baby, infant and an extra kid or two. Just moved Penny Pizzazz in there after last night's game play after she adopted a baby as per the neighborhood stories since her original apartment doesn't really accommodate an infant.
Anyways enough rambling about that and hope that your remake of Tartosa continues to go well as it becomes a "Hot Spot" of sorts in your game save.
littlebonnieblue Your Royal family's castle looks great and I'm sure the kids would have lots of fun playing hide & seek there if it was a thing in the game. Not sure if I could build a castle that size if and when I get the Royalty pack as it takes me long enough to do large lot builds in my game. Guess it would be a project to do over several days. Guess I'm more used to the cozy home style builds.
BlueSeaWaves A big Congratulations goes out to Kristen for being excepted into her Distinguished degree and my sims wish her all the best in her studies.
TA1111 The Villa family (my Sulani household) send their condolences to your Ngata family on the recent passing of their loved one.
the_mikado Nice update and really liked the first picture.
cbarber89 Your Sims ranch looks great and would be a great place for other Sims to take riding lessons if they could.
Just stopped by with an update from my visit Archer Han whose home has gotten quite a bit dirtier since you last saw it as some of his 'Dust Bunnies' have become 'Filth Fiends'. Since Archer has wishes to be in a dirty environment a lot, I haven't had him clean too much except when he shows sinces of getting frustrated and then I get him to do a deep vacuum to get the first layer of dust up so that he gets rid of the filth fiends.
When he gets into a 'cleaning mood' (of sorts), sometimes the game offers him to accept his new 'Neat' trait which I've declined since he likes being in a messy environment but not too messy (I guess) and had been thinking of getting (allowing) him to do the "Fabulously Filthy" aspiration once he finishes his Inner Peace one. I was just reading up on that aspiration, though and found out that when a sim already has the 'slob' trait that this aspiration doesn't work well with that trait. If this is true I may have to rethink that plan and maybe get him to slowly overcome his messiness and tidy up his home more often. Will see how things go as the time goes on in the game. For now, he'll draw the 'dirt' line at the Filth Fiends and keep vacuuming those up.
Here are the pictures from my visit with Archer during the summer season.
We'll begin with Archer attending the Humor & Hijinks Festival with Father Winter where he had a good time meeting potential new friends even though he didn't participate in the jokes or pranks. Archer tried some of the festival food, though and learned a new recipe in process.
Here, Archer is meeting Elaina Engle who was part of the winning Prankster team that night. She invited him over to the Engle house to visit during the Summer Fun holiday which was the next day. Archer is now friends with both Elaina & Yahir.
It's the first time that a 'Filth Fiend' has shown up in my game so I had Archer try to appease him and then search in the filth for something but don't know if anything was found.
Archer doing his first Summer Fun activity for the day by making grilled tofu dogs for breakfast.
After breakfast, Archer decided to take his Summer Fun day trip to the Sandy Run Spa (by fellow simmer xTiffxny1) in Newcrest and got a manicure to help get rid of his hang nail (part of his High Maintenance trait, I guess).
He then enjoyed some time in the sauna after applying a facial mask. Since I've had a sim die from staying too long in a sauna before, I only let him stay in for about 45 min or so. Shortly after that, he received a phone call from Elaina who invited him over to their house to hang out. Although I didn't get any pictures of the visit, Archer had a wonderful visit along with a fun water balloon fight with Elaina & Yahir to complete the Summer Fun day water activities.
Back home, Archer was starting to find that he had let his house get too filthy so he got out his vacuum cleaner to get rid of the little dirt monster behind him.
One of Archer's early dust bunnies had found him a money seed tree that has now grown into a money tree and how he can earn lots of extra money when he sells the money fruit it grows.
Archer began training his dog, Rocky to fetch but ended up being the one to do the 'fetching' the first time. Thankfully Rocky started to catch on the second time Archer threw the ball and was able to retrieve and bring it back to him.
That evening, Archer was invited by one of the friends he met at the Hijinks festival to the Food Festival where he was challenged to eat some spicy food. Here, Archer is about to find out how 'Hot' a dish of 'pho' can be but at least he knows how to make it at home now on cold winter day.
That's all for now and hope that everyone has a good night!
It was great that Archer enjoyed his time at the Humor and Hijinks Festival, and through it became friends with Elaina and Yahir. It was nice that he enjoyed doing a number of activities for Summer fun day ☀️ Having grilled tofu dogs for breakfast was a nice start to the day, and spending time visiting his friends and having a water balloon fight with them was fun 🙂It was great that one of his dust bunnies had given him a money seed and now he has a money tree! It would be very helpful for him! 💰It is great that he has now been able to train Rocky to fetch. I hope that he will be able to cope with eating the spicy pho dish! 🔥
Grilling tofu dogs is a nice balance of fun and eating healthy 😊 Archer being the one doing the fetching sounds familiar 🤣 Mmm, a bowl of Pho sounds yummy.
Archers also high maintenance 😂 love that, a fun trait for sure. I like that he enjoys a messy environment but not too messy. He got a money tree out of it, cha ching 😁 Haha hope Rocky figures it out 😂
Archer looks like he's having a great summer 🌞 Love his blue hair btw 😄 it was fun seeing him having fun at all the festivals, making new friends and learning city recipes. Him relaxing at the spa in the sauna with his face mask on is a brilliant picture 😆 good luck to Rocky on his fetch training, it was nice of the dust to find him a money tree seed 😄
