Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wa...
I posted occasionally in the non-serial thread, maybe will do this more regularly now? My focus is still on the Star Wars sims, but I'll try to keep the SW backstory in the backseat and focus on what the sims did.
Just this much: A number of main characters are currently under the thrall of evil emperor Palpatine, and the ghost of Jedi Master Skywalker suggested to the heroes to go mine force resistant minerals and whack the captured sims with weapons forged from those to break the mind control. How subtle and sophisticated!
And this is really an excuse to finally try the mining mod:
Rose Tico (Maker, Horse Lover, Paranoid) comes from a family of miners, she is the expedition leader. She needs to level up Handyness to open the Forgotten Grotto.
Rose is engaged to the strategist and engineer Armitage Hux (Perfectionist, Snob, Self-absorbed), who is... not a good choice in a future husband. He's actually the leader of the evil faction, but six months into having decided to turn his life around and work alongside - not join - the heroes to combat the even more evil Palpatine.
Both Rose and Armitage are in the politician career (she in "United World", he in "Foundation against Mischief"). Their relative career levels represent the strength of their factions in my game - Rose is leading by a nose.
These two are in my game since feburary. They were not planned to become a couple, more or less decided on their own, and today they argued for the second time. Twice in half a rl year. This is how close they are (in contrast my main couple, the guys in my avatar, argues something like thrice a day!).
I wondered what Rose' and Armitage's argument might be about, and realized: Armi might be a reformed villain, but that only pertains to going forward. He feels no remorse for his past deeds, claiming they were the correct choices considering the options open to him at that time. That claim left him isolated in the seven sim expedition, and dropped his social bar.
The game played along nicely and gave me this moodlet for him: [From low social need while being a self-absorbed sim] "Some would say Armitage craves attention, but in truth he's just incredibly lonely. Why is nobody noticing him?!"
Yeah, he's going to do something... unwise. I haven't decided what exactly. "They'll SEE me! I'm going to SHOW them!"
It is great reading about your sims and their background detailsEnkiSchmidt 🙂 I think that other sims may need to be a bit worried that Armitage may plan something that isn’t very great!
