What happened in your game today?

Unfortunately my disgruntled Self-Absorbed sim didn't cause any drama. Instead, he decided to patch things up with his fiance.

I made him forage for chestnuts, acorns and seeds (with a mod), that he grinded into flour, added some carrots he had found and, voila, handmade apology carrot cupcakes. Well, technically only the machine that made the cupcakes was handmade, but them both being tinkerers Rose liked it. (Armitage hates cooking, but likes baking, unfortunately baking at the stove still triggers the "hates cooking" moodlet, so he needs to use the cupcake machine.) While the sim was busy in this way, in the mine's lab apples were fermenting into fizzy drinks.

Prepared in this way, Armitage invited Rose to a picnic, only for it to get ruined by a sudden onset of rain. They climbed up to a somewhat protected platform of the mine this household is currently living in, and placed down their bedrolls. Picnic, after all!

The view was... unique. But they laughed and they talked things out, ready to move on.

After having mended things with Rose, Armitage went on inventing a weather machine. Problem: Now that the mine is the only dry zone in the area, the local wildlife seeks shelter here. The household has now the "Wild Foxes" lot trait.
