Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today.
I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here.
So what's happened in your game today?
Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!).
I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works!
Look forward to seeing what's happening in your games. X
As soon as she entered the market place Vanessa spotted the florist's table. She looked around, she saw a variety of different plants but none if which she came for. She continued to look, hoping the plant would magically appear. "I guess this Cowplant is the rarest thing they have." The young woman besides her couldn't help but overhear her. "What plant were you looking for?" She asked with a smile "Oh...um..." Vanessa wasn't sure if she should say "Oh I get it. It's a secret, huh?" She could sense her hesitation. "Well you can ask the florist to see if she can find it for you. She's helped me out plenty of times, she just asks for a finders fee."
Vanessa thanked her as she pointed to the vendor. Approaching her she began thinking the vendor will think she's crazy for what she was about to ask for, or simply tell her that plant doesn't exist. "Do you take requests for very rare plants?" "There's no plants I can't find. Of course I'll just need a finders fee" "Yes, of course." She motioned for her to get close. She raised her hand to cover her mouth as she whispered "I'm looking for a ...plasma fruit plant"
"What do you need that for?" Her eyes widened, she knew exactly who relied on its fruit. "On second thought, I don't want to know. I can find it, but due to its extreme scarcity I can only get you its fruit. Not the plant itself. It'll be a hefty price and this one will need to be upfront." Vanessa already figured it would be expensive. She pulled out her wallet and paid her price. "Perfect, it'll take some time but I'll have your order in at least 3-4 weeks." Immediately after a handshake, she thought of Fish, this was all for her after all. The sooner she got the plasma fruit, she could start working on a formula to help her most loyal friend.
While she waited for the fruit Vanessa continued putting in the effort at work, and once again was promoted. She wasn't so thrilled about the uniform though. To celebrate the promotion, Blossom and Mary invited her over for dinner. Her new schedule has her leaving work late in the evening so she was more than happy to accept. Picking up Fish she headed to the Greenburgs home, too tired to even change from her uniform. "Vanessa! We're so happy you can join us tonight." "Thanks, but do you smell that?" She got a whiff of something burning
"Smell wha-- Oh my goodness!! Mary!!!"
Grabbing a fire extinguisher Vanessa quickly rushed to Mary's aid. Covered in soot, Mary stood beside her family and watched as the flames were put out.
After being thanked Vanessa left the Greenburgs early to give the family space. They could have dinner another night. Still hungry she headed to The Caboose with Fish. It was almost empty aside from 3 other patrons, she grabbed a seat besides them at the bar. She wasn't expecting to have any one to talk to until the woman from the other day noticed her. "Hey, it's you! Were you able to get what you needed from the market that day?" "No not yet, it's coming though. Thanks for your help"
Catching the bartenders attention Vanessa ordered a plate of Fish and Chips. "I'll have what she's having" The woman added, "Let's get a table while we wait" Rising from her seat she moved over to the table and pulled out a chair. "Why not?" She thought and followed. "Before you ask, if you didn't order food I wouldn't have either. I just don't like eating up there... or eating alone at a bar..." "So you invite a total stranger to join you? We don't even know each other's name" she joked. "Haha, technically you're not a total stranger, but you have a point." She sheepishly admitted. "I'm Kelly Lemon" "Vanessa Stratton"
rosemowDaniRose2143gidget1234EllupelluelluGalacticGalThank you 🙂 Seems some already have an idea for what the fruit is for, time will tell when they arrive. Fish will be very happy 😄 While Vanessa's goal is to ultimately get custody of Cat, she really needs a friend so she isn't contemplating it 24/7 🙂
I love how your story is unfolding. I do hope Vanessa gets a handle on things and can soon request custody of Catalina before she grows up enough to be on her own. Good job! I'm enjoying your story very much.
That is very sad! 🙁It is not great that they died when only wanting to do a kindly thing and welcome their neighbour! It must have been very cold weather.
Hi everyone, I haven't abandoned my sims, i'm currently on vacation enjoying some proper sunshine. I have bought them with me so i will get to play them from time to time.
Enjoy your vacation. I'm not on vacation but have been attempting to tell Brianna's story, using part of my novel as guidance. I so much prefer the free-wheeling days of just writing by the seat-of-my-pants. When I get back to Erik, I can do that. He's a minor player in the novel, which is why I focus almost solely on him with the Sims.
Being a food critic comes with many delightful perks. My food critic is interviewing a personal chef that works on a houseboat in Sulani. She has full use of the company card for three days.🙂
It is a lovely houseboat! 🙂It would be very nice living there, and enjoying the peaceful natural scenery. It is a great place for your food critic to enjoy spending time there whilst doing her work.
Evangeline is really enjoying the vibe in Mourningvale. It's properly dark and spooky, just the way she likes it.
She couldn't believe her good luck. Her idol Grim offered her a job as a Grimtern!
Reaping is a handy skill for a vampire to have. It hasn't happened to her yet, but it is possible she could get a little too enthusiastic when drinking from an especially delicious sim. If she does take too much she can always clean her mess. She's not ready to go reaping for real so it's training with Kenny.
Grim was suitably impressed with her skills. He felt Evangeline was a natural and gave her an impeccable review for her first practice reap. Kenny wasn't so generous with his review. His bad review won't dampen her enthusiasm for the job.
After the big climb, I needed to move on to get some other children aged up in this generation. A potential love interest for Rose Ito is Liam Scott. Liam is Dash Scott’s and Luna Villareal’s oldest child. They are my Del Sol Valley family – not the expensive part – but I like their suburban style home. It has been perfect for them raising a family.
Dash helping with homework.
I got there right before Love Day. Dash takes care of bees and Luna does the gardening. And they made a little time for romance in the garden.
Later that night they went on a date while Liam took care of his little brother and sister Lillith and Logan.
There was a bug at the restaurant (not the kind that winds up in your soup). They couldn’t get seated, so they made the best of it and sat at the bar and talked and ate French fries.
The next day was the Summerfest holiday, and fireworks are a part of the fun.
But a fire broke out.
Everyone was fine thanks to Dash's bravery.
And then Lillith’s teen birthday was a couple nights later. They decided to have a party, even though it was a school night.
This was Lillith as the game aged her up - she is standing.
She got a makeover.
And she has joined cheerleading – going for the goal-oriented teen aspiration.
Her part-time job is as a video game streamer. Liam graduated early from high school and started college. He is following in his Dad’s footsteps and went into computer science. Luna is going through a mid-life crisis but wants to do creative things, so it is not bad so far. It is helping with her knitting aspiration.
Happy teen birthday to Lilith! 🙂It is nice that she has joined cheer leading. Congratulations to Liam on his graduation from high school. I hope that his college studies go well. It wasn’t great that a fire broke out at Summerfest! 🙁 It was good that Dash was able to put it out.
Lol, you're right! His connection with the horse is deeper than the one with his wife. They are going through marital problems atm and on the brink of divorce. 😆
