After several dates, Abram felt that things were becoming a little more serious and he had something important to tell Emmeline.
After they parted that night, Emmeline headed for the train but she heard a scuffle around the back of a bar
Emmeline is getting promoted faster than I would have anticipated in her side hustle

"Oh, where are they from?"
"They're... not from Earth."
He stopped, looking very nervous, to see what Emmeline's reaction would be.
"RAD!!!" yelped Emmeline, squeezing his hands. "That's amazing! I can't believe I kissed someone from Sixam! And I had no idea! Your disguise is really good."
Abram let out a long breath. "I'm so glad you feel that way. This information has scared off a lot of girls."
"Did you ever try keeping it secret for, you know, the whole relationship?"
"That only works until I catch feelings for someone. Then... well, you can see for yourself, now."

"I think I'm really falling for you. Hence the glow."
"Me too. I want us to get to know each other better."

"Oh no," said Abram. "Did I misunderstand?"
She felt her mind retract from the startling shock of someone else's presence in it.
"Well. Now you know me a little better," she said. "And I'm at a disadvantage."
"I'll tell you anything you want to know. Maybe at a slower pace than that. I promise."

"What do you look like really? When you're not disguised."
"It's embarrassing."
"What are you talking about? People are more and more tolerant of alie-- I mean Sixa. There's even a Sixa Studies curriculum starting up at the university."
"It's not that. I just don't like how I look. I don't like my mouth. I don't like my ears. When I learned to make a disguise I worked on making it as good-looking as possible."
"I guess it worked. Can I see what you really look like?"
"I'm too scared. I'm sorry. Sometime though."
"What color are you?"
"Blue."
"Blue is good. I can wait. Tell me just one thing: does your true blue appearance also look like someone who works out?" she asked with a lascivious wink and a caress up his muscled shoulder.
Abram laughed. "That part is real."
So yeah, now they're together.
