What happened to Jacques Villareal's wife?

I forgot to add to the poll that some theorize that Bella Goth is actually his wife.

I have two sims for that role, Sandra (my own invention) and Portia (from the GT trailers)

Sandra

She left Jacques when Max was a baby. They had gotten into arguments before, but Sandra was reluctant to leave, knowing a divorce would be hard for the twins. But when Max was born both parents agreed that Sandra should leave before he could bond to her.
Despite their differences in world view Jacques and Sandra parted on surprisingly good terms, but then she disappeared. The children believe she got killed by rival criminals. The truth about Sandra's disappearance varies from save to save, sometimes she's a secret agent, sometimes the Landgraab mob killed her and sometimes Jacques ordered her death. But he never killed her with his own hands.

Portia

She's just noncommittal, but otherwise as much a criminal as Jacques. Depending on how I set up things she is the mother of all three Villareal kids as well as Brandon (also from the trailers) or of only a few of them. In saves where Portia exists I tend to re-unite the family, but I also love Jacques with Mila.

I like what you did with them! Some people say that the backstory is actually a reference to Bella's disappearance in The Sims 2. His wife was most likely quite younger than him and like Mortimer, he also has an older daughter and younger son. Both Mortimer and Jacques' wives disappeared under "mysterious circumstances".

I personally think that Max is a bad egg that, due to some unfortunate genetics combined with the way he was raised, made him a sociopath.
I think he is an evil genius that killed his mom and managed to get away with it. I'm not sure about the details though, maybe someone that's better at story telling than me can think it up.

In my game she was Bella Goth's sister who was killed by Victor Feng and Nancy Landgraab to take control of Windenburg. Max was traumatized, Jacques went insane.

I just looked up Jacques’ traits and yup, I’d say he killed her. Seeing your other post as well...what if took care of her and Mila Munches husband as well cause she’s “good” and she didn’t want to go through with it

I've always thought he killed her - somehow, some way.

When I first read “mysterious circumstances” I knew he killed his wife and was like “baii I’m off to play the Goths”
