I dunno, @RedDestiny92, Sims I have made 'friends' with almost never stop by randomly. That's actually why I decided to have my sim chat up Vlad...after ~100 or so sim days of playing this household, I got tired of him always showing up and standing outside the door. I figured the sims that did that stopped coming once I actually made friends with them, I would try it with him too.
Just did it though, so I have no idea if it worked or not, but based on what your'e saying it might.
