If the goal is only to make him sun resistant, you could just make a power resetting drink instead; it's a lower level recipe, and it lets you invest some of the points into having full sun resistance while still keeping him a vampire.

@Magdaleena how do you make power resetting drink? is it only a mixology or bartending skills required? does your vampire drink it before or after getting out into the sun?

I would hope you'd drink it before going out into the sun, haha. It would be a little hard to drink anything while you're busy getting roasted outside. :D
The same goes for the vampiric sunscreen, your vamp should really drink that before stepping outside. To prepare, you know.
I should note that the sunscreen is only temporary, but it's something to use until you're able to go for the power reset potion.

The power resetting drink is called Draught of Reconfiguration!
No mixology/bartending skill required.
All you need is a vampire lore skill at 14 (don't worry, this skills up FAST), a fair amount of simoleons (1000 I think?), and certain ingredients that you'll see for yourself when you get there. I don't remember them right now, and the wiki doesn't tell us anything.
