If being a true fan means you have to absolutely love every aspect of a game, then I can't call myself a true fan. I loved Sims2, and I purchased all packs and just a couple of the Store items. But, I had a beef with how short a Sim's life was. The only option to curb this was to play with aging off, which I did, until I was ready for the baby/Toddler, etc. to age up. Then off it went again. By and large, I preferred this iteration of the game to Sims3. I have a love/hate relationship with this game, but still played it daily, despite my gripes with it. Installing 20+ NRaas, Ind. mods to help stabilize it and fixing the story progression made it better. But the Sims themselves were lacking. In Sims2, they were quirky and fun all on their own. In Sims3, not so much. Does that mean I'm not a true Fan? I took the leap of faith and purchased Sims3. Bought most of the packs, too. I willingly gave Sims4 a chance, even after they announced Toddlers wouldn't be in the game come launch. That made me grumble and consider cancelling my pre-order, which I finally didn't in the end. I decided to play the game and to see if my number one priority, the Sims themselves, would prove more like the Sims in Sims2, than in Sims3. While not as quirky, yet still amusing, I'm sold on this game. With mods I've been able to recreate my singer Sim. I'm delighted to play it and now play it just about every day, unless something else prevents it. I consider myself a true Fan.
