My last desktop ran super hot while playing TS4. Well, a couple of days ago I bought myself a gaming desktop. It has a GeForce GTX 2060 with 6 GB and an Intel i7 10700F, and even with that big boost in hardware, TS4 will make all of the fans crank up to high speed. Even the glass side panel is pretty warm to the touch. Why?
I've got a 9th-gen i7 but an RTX 2060 and 16GB of system RAM. Sims 4 still sends it into Leaf Blower Mode, which most of my games don't do. Only really poorly optimized games (like Mount&Blade Bannerlord, which has the excuse of still being in Early Access, or Civilization 5, which despite being 10 years old will use all the CPU horsepower you can give it no matter how beefy the computer) are worse about it.

The game seems to slow and drags more the longer it is running. I restart about every 3 hours
Also this. Dunno if it's a memory leak or just the game loading more and more stuff as you play until it overloads itself (which has broken every Sims game since the first one!), but you really do need to force the game to go "empty its bladder" with a quit-and-restart.
