I think it depends on the computer. I had bought a Predator a while back and it heated so badly that the keyboard was hot to the touch, now this was supposed to be a good gaming laptop, I returned it and got an Alienware instead and have literally never had it run hot at all. I can play all day long and it remains cool even on hot days. Only thing I did notice is that the battery power is not that long if I unplug it, with sims on it will run 4/5 hours max, but as soon as I exit sims and have normal computer running then it says battery will last much longer.
