@Nate_Whiplash1 I must have a different experience, but I don’t look to bring out the worst in my sims.
I have an Evil, Mean, Loner Vampire… He has the Dastardly Trait.
I’ve only experimented with “good” traits, but if you combine core traits with Character Values, Likes, and Dislikes, it does give them more depth.
My Evil Vampire is:
Well-Mannered
Responsible
Uncaring
Argumentative
Controlled Emotions
He likes Mischief.
These Character Value Traits and his preferences do influence his behaviors.
He has Friendly Interactions that upset sims. He can introduce himself to another sim, build high friendship almost instantly, but he doesn’t care about the feelings of anyone. He can’t easily resolve arguments… And, if he does start off on the right foot with any sim, his lack of compassion and argumentative nature can cause a break down in the relationship.
I think it makes him particularly interesting because he can befriend anyone, but he doesn’t have a lot of good ways to maintain a friendship.
I also gave him the Twisted Heart Scenario Trait.
I mostly play sims with “good” traits, and from what I’ve seen sims that like something will do it more often. My merfolk like to sing, so they will sing at times just because.
I suspect that you just have to make a sim dislike certain things to get them to act according to what you want them to do. Unfortunately, sims can’t like to be mean, but you can make them dislike things that make them “good.”
