@Nate_Whiplash1 they come from the Parenthood Game Pack. Basically, as a sim goes through the Toddler, Child, and Teen life stage, they build and decrease character values based on what they do.
Once a Character Value is maxed in the positive or negative, the sim unlocks a trait they get when they age up to young adult. These character values do impact autonomous behaviors.
A well mannered sim will do their dishes.
A responsible sim will take out the trash.
A sim with bad manners will probably leave messes.
An irresponsible sim will suffer at work and maybe leave the trash for someone else to take out.
