What is the point of a dresser?

Other than to change your Sim's clothing, I don't see why we need a dresser to change clothes. They don't even open any of the drawers before doing so. Might as well buy a big closet from GT if you want to plan outfits, because at least there's animation of going INTO the closet. Drawers are just a waste of space, in my opinion.

  • I have used them for sideboards in the dining room if I'm looking for a more traditional type dining room.
  • Oh the good old Sims 2 days when they opened a drawer, and then span around to change next to the drawer. *sigh* Id' love to have that back.

Speaking of drawers, I loved the hip-bump closing of kitchen drawers. I miss that!

One of the most common questions shoppers ask is how to decide whether they should get a dresser for their bedroom? The answer is rather simple and straight forward.
Dressers are primarily used to store clothing and are waist high, allowing for a dressing mirror to be placed on top of it. If you’re looking for storage for clothing, get a dresser.

Dressers are used to organize articles of clothing. The word “dresser” is actually the shortened form of “dressing table,” which means that the top of a dresser is almost always meant to be waist-high, with ample space for a dresser with mirror on top. (Example>

This feature sets them apart from chests. Dresser mirrors are convenient pieces that let you match and and model outfits easily. They also pair well with makeup vanities, speeding up morning routines even more.

The cost for a dresser can be varriy for the quality. If you are looking for affordable dresser with good quality so, there many good dresser in market that will worth your money!

Even so, I found it kind of amusing.
  • Spa day drawer has animation of opening and closing it, can be used to change clothes not just to a spa outfit.
  • I mis that you can’t buy and put clothes in the dresser like you used to in some older sims games. I don’t like plan outfit.... I would rather put together an outfit on the spot. I also miss buying off of clothes racks.... it was a lot more fun the old way...
