You can also pack a lunch with the free food at the Spice Festival as long as you get home before it goes bad. Also the food ordered at the bar, I ordered food from my bar at the Newcrest Arts/Science Center that I built, and packed most of it in lunches then got it home and in the fridge so my Sim had more than just quick meals to grab (haven't seriously gotten her into cooking yet). My Sim came across Summer Holiday grilling a lot of food (burgers, hot dots and grilled fruit) so my Sim could pack lunches and get them home before they spoiled so more free food. :)
