What is the point of a sack lunch - if any at all?

I sent my teen Sim to school with the first ever sacked lunch I have ever prepared - ever. He didn't eat it - he has a spoiled sack lunch in his inventory. I only notice it when I told him to do...

Since most necro's are by people who only have a couple of posts - maybe restrict it so you can't necro unless you have like at least 50 posts or something, I don't know :D
