What is up with my Scientist Career?
This is the 3rd time i've done scientist career and i've never had these issues: 1. Why do I have to make the Hover lamp, momentum conserver, clone machine, sim ray...etc over and over and over...

I second what foussi said about your SimRay, though; you can upgrade it even when it's not a daily task. I've had to do that a few times, too.
lol, ok i'll say it again. I do NOT have the option to upgrade my SimRay for "panic".
