- Because I'm a genetics and legacy geek.. I enjoy playing single sims a lot but to me the most enjoyable part of the game is too see similarities and differences between generations ^_^
- evilyn_377 years agoSeasoned AceI always start with a single sim. Then single sim with one child. I usually marry off the sim right before they become an elder, then focus on the child. Right now I'm playing a married sim but she doesn't live with her wife. She lives with her daughter from her 1st marriage and her wife lives with their son. I might eventually have them all in one household. Honestly it's just because I like to focus on one sim, and dont really like to play child age sims.
- Lustianicia7 years agoSeasoned AceIn Sims 3, my limit for children is always just TWO! Unfortunately, more than four sims in a household generally calls for a VERY laggy and glitchy game (even with a good gaming PC). As much as I love Sims 3, the optimization for that game is awful...
However, in Sims 2 and Sims 4, I'm more than willing to have 2-3 children per household that I play. Those games can actually handle a full household without getting all laggy or glitchy! lol The only issue I have with more than 4-5 sims is the fact that it becomes kinda frustrating to control them all. - I like playing this type of households the most, however, the marrying part, I just do it purely because it suits the game more than having them living together without getting married. Having the "propose" always appearing on the romantic interactions drives me crazy too :D
They always elope though, I can't be bothered with the ceremony and such since I don't even like the concept of marriage in real life.
Since the Parenthood GP, of course the addition of toddlers, and the Kids SP, I enjoy families a lot more and can't stop at one child because I like to have a busy household were siblings love/hate each other and drive parents nuts. - SimsAddict_2447 years agoNew SpectatorI play many kind of families but I found this one to be more challenging and thus more fun to play. Singles are the easiest to play with so it's fine if I want to complete a specific aspiration.
- LolaLuvsSims7 years agoSeasoned AceI do like having 2-3 children I just feel bad because I always end up focusing on just one. I just started a new save and both partners have a sister so their children will have cousins to play with.
- sentfromthesky7 years agoSeasoned Vanguard4+ children is a little hectic for me, so 2-4 is perfect. I like my sims to marry mid way through their YA stage or early Adult stage.
I love to make up personalities and I love to make huge family trees. It's nice to go see my sims' children's children as they grow up and host family get togethers. :) - Almost always play married couple with 2-4 kids. However, I will sometimes play with more or less children depending on the storyline I have going on in my head. Always have at least one child so they can carry on the lineage though.
