I have a few. But my biggest is probably the fact that consequence isn’t a thing. A moodlet isn’t a consequence.
For example, my sim cheated on his wedding day in front of the entire wedding party. His bride noticed but did nothing. None of the guests reacted.
A day later the bride got an angry moodlet for cheating. This disappeared when she entered the kitchen because she liked the decor.
If my sims don’t care or react to significant events in their lives then I struggle to care. It ties in to the fact that sims all feel identical. Why do all my sims get whims to buy bee boxes in Spring and play in leaf piles in Fall? Why do all my children and teens get wants to do their homework? It’s a life sim game but I feel the game fights me for anything that is hard or less than positive. Why with the likes and dislikes do my sims automatically do activities they don’t like? I have a sim who dislikes gaming but she rolls whims all the time to play games. I have another who dislikes dancing but is the first on the dance floor. It makes the game feel very shallow.
