I think my biggest gripe about it is that it was built on the bones of a multiplayer/online version of the Sims, which is why we don't have open worlds/neighborhoods and why several series staples were missing, like ghosts, swimming pools and toddlers.
Besides that? All the expansions and game packs and whatever; they're all so bare-bones, so empty and hollow, pale imitations of previous iterations. Like I look at them and I see exactly which packs from Sims 1-3 they're trying to be, but it's just a small part of what was in those.
I want to love the Sims 4 and I do play it but there's a lot of problems with it; I'm really hoping they'll learn from this and that Sims 5 is better.
