- JessReneeXP6 years agoSeasoned AceHaving families. Trying to have several generations of successful sims.
- Build A City Challenge. It's got a create combination of buildings, creating sims and playing the game. It's also good for really exploring everything the game has to offer.
- simmyfroggy6 years agoSeasoned AceMy immediate reaction is: building.
But then I've been having fun doing that and then following it up with creating a family/Sim that fits a build and playing with them.
Most of my builds start with challenges (like the One Room, One Week, One Theme one run by @rosemow or some that I found on the Gallery). It's fun to get out of my usual comfort zone. - I love playing scientists. I never get tired of it. I don't even know why. It is just so much fun.
- Sharooonia6 years agoSeasoned AcePlaying all the premade families on a rotation. Family play mostly.
- GalacticGal6 years agoLegendI love pursing a singing career for my Sim. I've restarted his game save several times due to corrupted files/corrupted Sim/death/incompatible mod after a patch. You name it, it's happened in my game. Oi. Sim's name is Erik Cantrell. You may have read a thread or two about him. I also love families.

Me too! I have one save...on generation 3 with 17 families (so seasons line up), playing 1 sim week before switching to the next family. Right on!
As for my favorite things to do, I try to explore parts of the game that I haven't yet, such as picking traits I don't usually play with, make sims visit community lots more, and exploring the "nooks and crannies" such as a skill or job I haven't tried or mastered, or completely search each neighborhood for collectables, and Jungle Adventure and Outdoor Retreat still needs to be fully explored for me as well. I give each family a certain "characteristic" such as a family of flirty sims, creative sims, mean sims, etc.- kacie486 years agoSeasoned VanguardI once started a new game and was frustrated because I couldn’t think of where to get my story started. Soooo, I had my sim do rude introductions and pick fights with everyone. I mean everyone. My sim became the most hated Sim in town. Which as we all know, is not an easy thing to do in this game. Once everyone hated him, I then started the quest of repairing these relationships. Which is a lot easier than destroying them. He actually ended up with a pristine reputation. That was a good while ago though. I liked it because I’m generally a family player who makes friends with everyone in the game so it was out of my comfort zone.
- Babykittyjade6 years agoSeasoned AceMy favorite thing is to use a combination of poseplayer and live mode to make stories. I put the pictures together and share them with my sister who also plays. It really pulls me into the moment.
But i don't think I have a particular playstyle. Yesterday I was playing a zombie apocalypse story, before that it was a mermaid vampire love story, before that it was vampire groups hunting and sacrificing mermaids, and today it's a family celebrating the holidays and having fun in parks. - Like @Babykittyjade, my favorite thing to do is make stories with my sims by taking screenshots using a combination of poses and live mode. There’s a monthly short story contest with a novice writer category that you can find on the stories board on this forum that could be a fun way to get started if that’s something you’re interested in.
I also really like playing a whole community, rather than just one family, but have my starting family be my main sims while the others are more like supporting characters. I still give the supporting sims their own stories and play time, just not as much as I do with whoever is my main focus. This adds realism as I’m not just playing one little group who live in a bubble. I’ll start with one sim or one family and then gradually grow the number of households I play as their circle of friends widens and their family grows and kids move out and start their own families.
I also like going on walks or to different commercial lots with a sim with a maxed out photography skill and have them take pictures. I then apply filters and see which ones look the best, then delete all but the very best. I use these to display in that sim’s home or to make a retail art store.
Okay, so I guess I have more than one favorite, haha.
