This was sims 3. To this day, this only ever happened to me that once and I never knew it could happen in the first place.
The son of my mayor had just graduated high school and I moved him into his first place, which was a tiny home in an up and coming neighborhood. Now when I say tiny, I mean 4x8, carelessly missing a smoke detector and it has a second floor. I threw his birthday party at the tiny house and invited almost the whole town. I see my mistake now. As he went to blow out the candles, everyone gathered around him...every single tile had a sim on it. And as he blew out the candles, he blew himself on fire (that can happen!?). So I couldn't move him through the crowd. The crowd stood there panicking instead of running to safety. I watched as around 25-30 of my townspeople burned to death. It was a very somber game after that. My town went through a depression...like they wouldn't do anything for at least a full sim week after that. It became part of the towns history and I erected a monument and museum. ?
It was an accident, I swear!
