- The camera is my favorite as well, as someone already said. The first thing I do when I get into a new household is but a few and put them in my sims inventories.
I love going around taking photos and it works perfect with Andrew's Pose Player and all the poses you can get (if you don't mind using mods). Whether it's scenery pictures or family/friends poses, I decorate all my homes with them and even have rooms saved in the gallery with my photos to use in different playthroughs. - Kyr0e5 years agoSeasoned Ace

The bee box from Seasons.
Helps with moneymaking (selling honey, or selling collectibles/donating them to the Simsonian Museum).
Relieves bad moodlets (on self or others).
Builds romance with other sims.
Generates collectibles.
Fertilizes plants autonomously (alongside other fertilizers).
Gives wax for candle-making.
Can be used to make other aims miserable, and acts as a defense system against unwanted sims in the garden (autonomously) when in a bad mood.
The bee box is a very useful item in the game but I find my poor Sims get stung far too often, but it doesn't effect their mood too much at least most of the time.
Spam bonding until max, then simply check in on them twice a day. If you're going past and see them dropping from the box, apply the remedy for termites, and bond with them once or twice until calm.
If you're getting stung autonomously, then you're neglecting them too often. You always want to keep them calm if at all possible.
If you're getting stung whilst bonding...you're uncovered and interacting with bees, so it's bound to happen, even at max friendship. - NateWhiplash5 years agoSeasoned AceDefinitely bee boxes

Actually, in all seriousness, good call. I do that too. Love the actual "camera". - atreya335 years agoLegendThe cauldron from RoM. It can be used for magic and also to create large portions of food (12 servings). One of the few mods I have adds more recipes for the cauldron and I like it. But a smaller alternative version would be very welcome.
Close runner ups:
- photo camera on tripod. I like to give my sims a few pictures to hang in the house. With the tripod there are no ridiculous gnomes on the photo.
- the base game space rocket. Just for the thought of being able to leave this planet. In older sims games I my sims only entered the military career because one of the higher ranks was astronaut. - ck2135 years agoLegendThe More Choices Video Station.

A lot of my sims find reasons to use it.
Hobbies, careers, or just an online presence, since we had drones for video recording and live streaming, you can turn just about anything into a subject. - Isharell5 years agoSeasoned AceI'm glad I'm not alone in saying yoga mat. I just love making my sims do yoga! It is the one thing that goes into nearly every household, right after the computer. Heck, now that I think about it, I have one house with no computer, but she does have a yoga mat. She's just usually so busy taking care of her garden and chickens she doesn't have time for anything else.
- netney525 years agoSeasoned AceYoga mat from spa day and bird feeder from backyard are my 2 top options. Also use the laptop from strangerville or the pc from city living. Also use the cooker and fridge from jungle adventure and thermostat from seasons. The first 2 are my optional favourites the rest I seem to use in pretty much most builds. I know the op said pick one I can’t as I don’t have a stand out item.
- The yoga mat and also the ice cream machine from Cool Kitchen. I just love the decoration options plus easy diet option
- ChampandGirlie5 years agoSeasoned AceI actually like most of the gameplay objects so I wouldn't single them out. I am a fan of the bowling alley and I think it is underrated. I like how it lights up, bowling is complex and there is so much interaction with different skill levels.
I do utilize yoga and the various spa items.
