What job should Link have before buying a vet-clinic?

In my current save, I already know that Link will be a vet. Only it feels entirely unrealistic for a YA of 20 to just up and buy a vet clinic without any training or skill what so ever. A more logica...

Can multiple household members work at a clinic together they way they can work together in a retail business? Maybe you can have an older sim with more money buy the vet clinic. Your sim can live in the garret and be their apprentice. I've read about that sort of set up in Victorian novels. Eventually the older sim will retire and your sim will take over the business, but not before investigating a rumored haunting, ending up in a love triangle with the good doctor's son and the daughter of a wealthy landdowner and . . . sorry, I got carried away.

So that would be option buy the clinic, but pretend one of the employees is the real owner and that he just works there. For story purposes that might work.

The DU/Doctor combo however is closed to me as the packs aren't active in my save (pack challenge).

This is actually the scenario that I'm going with. I'm preparing the home and family (I'm thinking an elderly couple). He'll "rent" a room and live with them then take over the business when they want to retire.

Great idea! I read gothic Victorian novels too and loved those scenarios. Always a secret or happening in the past that affects the present.
