What life span do you play on?

Right now, I'm playing with aging turned off, and aging them up when I feel like they're ready. Had it set that way due to a recent bug, but I think I'm going to keep this setting since it allows me to spend as much time as I want, or as little as I want, with each sim at each life stage, and so that I have the time to raise up the skills that I might want them to have.

I've been considering doing that actually! I just might... and periodically, i guess I'll turn on aging for other sims lol

Like you I've started setting it between normal and long with MCCC, I alternate between having aging on and off though so I can have a good amount of time with each sim as I rotate between families.

I have a custom lifespan set with MCCC. It's kind of like between the long and normal lifespans, and it's just perfect for me.

Nice! What length seasons do you use if you go somewhere between normal and long? Ive always done 2 wk seasons - but might change to 4 wk seasons and do some time with aging off rather than rushing if i dont feel ready for a sim to age. I like the storytelling aspect of my games for sure, so i think the longer seasons, custom lifespan between the 2 presets and periodic aging-off might be the way to go for me personally

I typically play on the long lifespan because normal is just too short. Long is too long, so I just choose that lifespan and age up when I feel the sim is ready to move on to the next stage in life.

@notetoself00x I have my seasons set to the longest so that the holidays don't come around to quickly and there's space to add your own in too. Aging off is great, sometimes it's nice to just have some fun with the sim without worrying about them aging up before you get to do everything you want to in that life stage.

I usually play with short lifespan to make things a little more challenging and that I don't get bored too fast, which worked quite well for me.

I haven't played since the recent patches, though :( I'm really sad that they somehow shortened short lifespan which does not make sense for at all. I fear that I will have to use a modded short lifespan in the future, but I don't dare to use any mods that fiddle with the aging at the moment :(

I used to play Long lifespan but now I play with aging off and will never go back. With Seasons, it never made sense to me that a kid might never experience Winterfest as a toddler...

I used to play on long but since the update affected that lifespan with the ageing bug I now play on normal with ageing disabled. I never play families so the lack of ageing isn't a problem, besides I could age up a sim with the cheat menu if needed.
