What life span do you play?
I've only ever done normal but I'm looking to try long now to see if I like it and not become bored.

It depends on the intent of the game I'm playing. Right now I'm doing a legacy and trying to get to 10th Generation so I have it on Normal. When I play my simself and my family and friends (yes, I'm one of THOSE players) then I play on the longest option.
