They don't always get pregnant and yes, the abduction is "random". The best way to prevent abduction is to use a mod to stop it from happening.

Its still possible to be randomlu abducted but its VERY rare. Knowing aliens, being an alien, having an observatory, collecting spacerocks/aliens, rocket ship, scientist career all increase the chances of abduction.If he does end up pregnant, once the baby is born you can send to home world and erase him from the wlrld and itll be like he was never born.

OP you're lucky. I've yet to have an abduction and I'd love to.

My sim got abducted for the first time since the patch that nerfed the chances. I really wanted him to get pregnant, but it didn't happen.I really don't like how the chances are so low, It was one of the main reasons I got Get To Work!

I still have not experienced any abduction and have not seen the aliens.
Not keen on getting the males pregnant. I don't mind if a female is abducted though

It's pretty rare from what I've seen and experienced for them to end up pregnant.

My female scientist sim has been abducted twice .... Luckily they didn't take either of her brothers. Once I had Bob pancakes abducted when I was playing him, but luckily he did not get pregnant.
